An old Japanese legend states that you
must never go to a festival alone, lest the demons of the festival
spirit you away forever. A stubborn and pragmatic individual,
Koketsu heads off to a local temple festival but is soon separated
from his companion, and in the process he learns why some old wives'
tales are meant to be believed.

When he was sixteen, Hokosaki Hagane
attended the funeral of the only girl he ever loved, the beautiful
Mashiro Shiori. Ten years have passed, and Hagane has found no
other in his heart. Yet all is about to change on the
inexplicable wings of a butterfly in the cold winter days of
Christmastime Tokyo.
