Fanfiction related
With a little help from fellow original
fics authors Brian Randall and Matthew Johnston, I provide a little
guide here for those who've wanted to branch from fanfics to the next
level. While not entirely serious, I do hope I've brought up
enough valid points. Additionally, this article was the direct
reason I decided to create my Bossa
for Sakurajima original fiction series.
After reading an article on Slate
magazine regarding fanfiction, I felt that it was needed to write a
letter to the Rant (their Bulletin Board/Letters to the Editor
system). Though it was a well-done article, it was slightly
denigrating and thus deserving of commentary.

Nonfanfiction related
When I moved away from Japan, I had a lot
to get off my chest. Perhaps in retrospect it's a bit weepy and
out of line at some points (or at least some other authors felt), but
it's how I felt, and to some degree still do feel.
